Press Conference
Michael Kelso represented his party, That 70s Party, during the recent press conferences. In his opening remarks, Mr. Kelso stated that equal opportunity education is one of the main issues they will be focusing on, as well as stating they will be instituting gender-neutral bathrooms. Kelso also went on to say that medical marijuana will be legalized, while recreational use will be decriminalized but still illegal.
The first question asked referred to their party approval packet, where they said that the environment is a power issue, and they value the “preservation of the global environment.” When asked what specific plans they had for this, Kelso simply stated that they are very anti-fracking, and that this practice will no longer be permitted. It should be noted that he did not mention any planned legislation for the reduction of emissions. Michael later goes on to say, on the subject of their defense policy, that That 70s Party would cut military spending, however American troops would remain in foreign countries. This is contrary to many other parties, such as the Violet Femmes, who plan major military cuts and will institute an isolationist foreign policy.
When asked about their plans for the American education system, specifically sexual education, Mr. Kelso replied that overall, they plan to teach everyone, and will institute equal opportunity education. As far as sex ed goes, they will stress the importance of consensual sex, as well as discouraging rape culture. Kelso also mentioned some of That 70s Party’s upcoming events, such as Groovy Tuesdays, as well as a competition on Instagram. Details on these events can be gained from a member of That 70s Party.
Kelso’s closing remarks focused on the purpose of their proposition: the decriminalization of marijuana. He said that this would benefit the nation, as America will save money, as less people will be in prisons.
